Ditta Artigianale is an artisan cafe/restaurant with two prominent locations in Florence. I love visiting the cafe for a cup of chai latte on my morning commute. Aside from a freshly brewed chai latte, there are many other reasons why it’s one of my favourite stops. A restaurant unlike many other amazing restaurants in Florence. The meals range from a simple maple syrup pancakes to a full English or American breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also served with a variety of classic drinks and cocktails. I enjoy going to Ditta for a great coffee or study session with friends. I especially love seating in for Sunday brunch. So far my favourite meal (the one I’ve eaten the most) is the French Croque Madame (or Monsieur).
With its variety of simple and classic international meals, it’s been hard for me to place this artisan cafe as either Italian, French or English. Honestly, it could be either or neither, but I’m just glad to have somewhere to have a refreshing choice of Italian and non-Italian meals when I crave it. In addition, it is the only place I know of (so far) that serves a chai latte; a little overpriced but worth every cent.
