  • These tomatoes gave what they were supposed to give and the Jollof they were used for was TASTY! That aside, I just want to highlight this message I got (2nd slide) that made me smile😌. Words are often underrated but can be greatly effective especially when they are timely as this was. Thank you!

  • Cocadas - these coconut balls were the star of the show when @nerabionda introduced me to food from Panama🇵🇦. We also made ‘Platanos en tentacion ‘(plantains in temptation) and ‘Arroz con guandu’ (rice & peas). A glimpse of my next entry into my “journeying through African foods & of African descent” series. Coming soon😋

  • Endless recipes in the African continent & beyond that I am yet to learn from😄 who wants to invite me over to share their heritage through food?🙏🏾
Dishes on my mind at the moment include (some of which I’ve tried (eaten), but want to learn how they’re made:
- Ethiopian Njera (tried)
- Senegalese Thieboudienne (tried)
- Jamaican Ackee & Saltfish (yet to try)
- Haitian Griot (yet to try)
And so many more! Please give me your suggestions to add to this list🥰
Note: when I say learnt more about Africa whilst living in Europe, I mean because I have the opportunity to meet other people from various African cultures than when living in one African country. I did not learn about Africa from Europeans.

I know I said “Uthiopian” instead of “Ethiopian”, excuse me😅 please grammar police so do not come for me. Thanks.
